We are excited to announce several volunteer opportunities at our annual Grantee Gathering in Minnesota, which will be held from Sunday, October 20, through Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
If you’re part of our Minnesota community, we would love to have your support to ensure the event runs smoothly and that grantees feel welcomed and supported. Pre-event prep activities will take place at Mary’s Pence offices in St. Paul and onsite activities will take place at Mount Olivet Conference and Retreat Center in Farmington.
Below are the details of the roles we need help with:
Pre-event Prep (1-2 weeks before)
Role: Assemble welcome kits, event materials, etc.
Volunteers Needed: 2-3 people
Pre-event Onsite Prep (Sunday, October 20)
Role: Help with unpacking items, registration setup, signage placement, etc.
Volunteers Needed: 3-4 people
Welcome and Onsite Registration (Sunday, October 20)
Role: Greet grantees as they arrive, assist with check-in, provide maps, and help them find their rooms and meeting spaces.
Volunteers Needed: 4 people
Day of Coordination Assistance (Sunday, October 20 through Wednesday, October 23).
Role: Assist with session setup (materials, etc.), clean up, guide grantees and guests around the venue, and manage speakers.
Volunteers Needed: 2-4 people (shifts can be broken into morning and afternoon)
Transportation (Sunday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 23).
Role: Pick up grantees from the airport in a rented van and transport them to the venue (approx. 45-minute drive one way) or pick up grantees from the venue and transport them back to the airport.
Volunteers Needed: 1 person with a valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a larger vehicle required.
