Mary’s Pence Announces Spring 2026 Grantee Cohort Supporting Women-Led Solutions Across the United States

Mary’s Pence is excited to announce its Spring 2026 grantee cohort. Mary’s Pence invests in organizations led by and serving women, girls, and gender-expansive communities working at the intersection of healing, economic justice, cultural preservation, housing stability, education advocacy, and survivor support.

This season’s cohort reflects a growing movement of grassroots organizations building community-centered solutions in response to systemic inequities affecting women, especially those in historically marginalized communities across the country.

From Indigenous cultural revitalization in South Dakota to housing justice in Hawaii, disability advocacy in Missouri, and economic alternatives for Black women in Louisiana, the organizations funded this spring are building long-term solutions rooted in dignity, care, and collective action.

“Across the country, women and gender-expansive leaders are creating the infrastructure communities need to heal, thrive, and build power together,” said Emily Monroe, Executive Director of Mary’s Pence. “We’re honored to help them in their work through our funding. These organizations demonstrate that lasting change is possible when communities closest to the challenges lead the solutions.”

The Mary’s Pence Spring 2026 cohort highlights two interconnected efforts emerging across the organizations funded this cycle:

Building Communities of Care

Several grantees are creating culturally grounded systems of healing, safety, and support for women, families, survivors, and historically marginalized communities. Their work includes trauma-informed wellness practices, survivor and disability advocacy, housing support, and spaces for cultural connection and belonging.

Building Community Leadership

Other grantees are advancing long-term structural change through leadership development, economic opportunity, educational advocacy, cooperative economic alternatives, and research and policy change.

Together, they are strengthening communities’ ability to shape their own futures. “These organizations are not only responding to urgent community needs; they are building long-term systems of care, resilience, and collective power,” Emily Monroe, Executive Director, added.
