After 17 incredible years as Executive Director of Mary’s Pence, I will be transitioning into retirement. This decision comes with deep gratitude for the work we’ve done together—and with great hope for the future.
When I left the corporate world, I sought meaningful, justice-focused work. Serving Mary’s Pence in solidarity with women in a faith-filled environment has been a privilege.
Preparing for the Next Chapter
To guide this important transition, the Board of Directors formed a dedicated committee, working closely with staff to prepare for the hiring of our next Executive Director. We’ve laid a strong foundation—updating the job description, reviewing policies, conducting a salary analysis, and developing a thoughtful interview process, and finally, the position is now live on our website! We invite you to read the job posting and share it widely within your networks.

Looking Back, Looking Ahead
When I joined Mary’s Pence in 2008, the ESPERA Program had just launched with three partners in Central America. Today, it partners with 14 women-led groups, and over $1.2 million in loans have circulated—fueling businesses, leadership, and local impact.
Our U.S.-based Grants Program has also expanded in size and depth. Applications have increased by 500% in just the past two years. Our community is growing because the need for our work is greater than ever.
Mary’s Pence is strong, and with your trust and support, it will grow even stronger. I’m grateful for your solidarity and generosity—many of our supporters have been with us for over 20 years. Thank you for being part of this journey.
