Creating a Culture of Peace is a nationwide program for community-based and spiritually grounded active nonviolence.
Mary’s Pence Executive Director Katherine Wojtan, and Joan Haan, the SPIN Program Team and leadership and organizational coach, will be facilitating this weekend workshop.
The training explores dimensions of vioence and divisions in our culture, resources for interpersonal nonviolence, dynamics of nonviolent social movements, perspectives on community building, and strategic action planning.
Time will be set aside for individual and group meditation, prayer, readings or spiritual practice, and fellowship.
Training begins with a dinner on Friday, August 4, 6:30-9:30 PM, and continues on Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM at the Interfatih Action of Greater Saint Paul headquarters.
Full cost is $150.00 (including potluck dinner and all program expenses). SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE.
Registration is limited to 18 participants representing a diversity of religious and spiritual traditions, ethnicity, age, and income.
