CLUTCH is a female-founded, female-led, grassroots team of volunteer queer adults and allies working to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive community for teens ages 14-20 in the small town of Nampa, Idaho.
Nampa’s LGBTQ+ youth and their families are faced with increased restrictions and messages of silence and dismissal. To keep Nampa’s youth safe, the plan is simple – provide a safe space where LGBTQ+ youth can feel free to be themselves, find acceptance, and feel loved.
CLUTCH meets weekly throughout the year and provides participants with a space to build a loving community, share a meal, and express themselves creatively. It also connects participants with enriching community events and supportive mentors. For CLUTCH, success is helping each child know they are loved for being exactly who they are.
