Atlanta Doula Collective (ADC)

Atlanta Doula Collective works to eradicate Black maternal and infant mortalities in Georgia by providing affordable perinatal support services and culturally responsive, community-based education. ADC serves low and no-income Black mothers facing barriers to accessing affordable healthcare. They work to decrease the rate of preterm births and cesarean births experienced by Black mothers within the program, and to decrease risk factors associated with postpartum mood disorder and postpartum preeclampsia, and to increase the rate of breastfeeding among Black mothers in the program. ADC is increasing the number of culturally responsive, Black and Indigenous Perinatal Support Specialists working throughout the state of Georgia through Doula training, mentorship and business development, creating a clear pathway for doulas to serve their communities and thrive professionally.
