Fanm Saj’s mission is to provide families across the African Diaspora with cultural, wellness and sociopolitical resources to nourish themselves, their families, and their communities.
Fanm Saj centers the leadership of Black people, cultivating a network of organizers and practitioners who address intergenerational trauma while demonstrating that there are alternatives to dominant models of medicine and healing.
By training community members to lead restorative practices, Fanm Saj builds local infrastructure, reduces reliance on exclusionary systems and fosters collective accountability. This approach addresses root causes of harm — trauma, disconnection and marginalization — while modeling sustainable alternatives rooted in care and justice.
