Hattie B. BWIP (Hattie B. Black Women in Progress)

Sierra Vista, Arizona

Hattie B. BWIP (Hattie B. Black Women in Progress) empowers young girls from marginalized Black and Brown communities, with a focus on girls in rural and underserved areas of Cochise, Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa counties in Arizona.

Hattie B. BWIP works with girls to transcend their immediate circumstances and envision a future filled with possibilities. During the Acacia B. Girls Confidence Camp, girls ages 6 – 18 attend day or overnight programs, which provide an immersive educational experience of academic enrichment, sisterhood, life skills, emotional resilience, and self assurance.

Hattie B. BWIP envisions a future where every girl has the tools and confidence to realize her full potential.
