Together the women of The Kitchen Table combat poverty, homelessness, and oppressive economic systems as a support group and a business team. The Kitchen Table is a women-led, women-owned social enterprise restaurant that is open to the community every Thursday and also takes catering orders. The meals are prepared by the women, in part from a garden they maintain.
As The Kitchen Table moves into its third year of funding from Mary’s Pence, their focus is on increasing traffic to their once-per-week home-cooked community meal. They will use funding from Mary’s Pence to focus on outreach and implementing a marketing plan to attract additional customers to help solidify the sustainability of their women-led community-based business.
