Grounded in the belief that there is no minimum age for leadership, Youth Activism Project fosters teen-led advocacy campaigns and normalizes young people’s participation in decision-making processes. They accomplish their work by providing meaningful youth engagement in civic and political spheres through equal access to leadership and advocacy training and community-building resources for all teens. Since their founding in 2004, their teen advocates have influenced the outcome of at least 34 policies at local, state, national, and international levels, raised over $70,000 for their causes, and co-authored two how-to action guides.
